Sheena Dhiman | Director of Nursing

For Sheena Dhiman, nursing is about more than providing clinical care.

It’s about listening, building trust, supporting patients, and helping make sure people don’t fall through the cracks.

Her passion for healthcare began early. Growing up in India, Sheena helped care for her great-grandmother and grandfather, helping them manage their medications, experiences that gave her an early understanding of what it means to support someone through their health needs.

After moving to the United States, she ultimately chose nursing and began building a career that would take her through multiple areas of healthcare.

She earned her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and worked at UCLA before earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mount St. Mary’s College in 2008.

She spent 16 years working in neurosciences, taking on roles including clinical nurse, relief charge nurse, nurse navigator, and director of multiple programs.

In February 2026, Sheena joined Share Ourselves as Director of Nursing.

A New Chapter in Primary Care

Moving from neuroscience into primary care has been an opportunity to learn something new.

“This allowed me to get uncomfortable and learn.”

What attracted Sheena to Share Ourselves was the organization’s commitment to caring for the whole person.

Patients can access medical care, dental care, optometry, pharmacy services, behavioral health, social services, food access, and essential support through Share Ourselves.

For Sheena, that is what whole-person care should look like.

“I think that’s the true meaning of caring for the person as a whole, rather than just taking care of their physical needs.”

Building a Stronger Clinical Support Team

As Share Ourselves continues to grow, Sheena is focused on strengthening the clinical support including our Medical Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses and Registered Nurses, and making sure patients have access to consistent support.

That includes improving communication between clinical team members and providers, supporting patients with chronic conditions, and strengthening follow-up and care management.

At the Costa Mesa clinic, extended hours also create an opportunity to make clinical support available to patients later in the day.

“Our current goal is that we add more nurses, so we have nurses who are available until 8 o’clock at night.”

For Sheena, expanding clinical support coverage is more than staffing.

It is about making sure patients have someone they can turn to when they need help.

Listening Is Part of Care

Clinical support team members often develop strong relationships with patients. That connection can reveal challenges that may not show up during a medical appointment.

A patient may be managing a chronic condition while also worrying about food, housing, transportation, employment, or other circumstances that affect their health.

Understanding those challenges helps the care team connect patients with the broader resources available through Share Ourselves.

That is one of the things Sheena values about the organization.

Looking Ahead

As Share Ourselves grows, Sheena is excited about the opportunity to continue developing the clinical support team and strengthening the way care is delivered across our clinics.

For her, leadership is ultimately about empowering the people providing care every day.

“It’s a very heartwarming feeling to know that what I do makes an impact by empowering the clinical support team to provide direct patient care and support clinical providers.”

Please join us in welcoming Sheena to the Share Ourselves team.
