Our Mission

We are servants who provide care and assistance to those in need, and act as advocates for systemic change.

What We Believe

Share Ourselves is a healthcare organization that provides comprehensive health and support services for the entire community. We believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. So, every day we break down the barriers to achieving optimal health. From serving as a comprehensive healthcare provider, to offering social services like financial assistance and food distribution, our approach considers all that it means to be healthy. Because when we uplift and prioritize the health of every individual, we become stronger as a community.

Who We Serve

Share Ourselves offers comprehensive healthcare services

At the heart of our mission is the unwavering belief that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to quality healthcare. Share Ourselves stands as a beacon of compassion, particularly for those facing the challenges of homelessness and our low-income neighbors. Whether you find yourself insured or uninsured, our doors are wide open, welcoming you and your family into our community of care.

Our Core Values

Lead with Dignity

We treat others as we would want to be treated. From our patients to our partners, we work from a place of dignity, inclusion, and compassion because whole person care is about more than our physical health; it’s about addressing every aspect of the human experience.

We

Champion Justice

Our work is rooted in social justice. By influencing policy and modeling how an equitable, whole person care approach to health can take shape, we advocate for change in the structures and systems that unjustly and inequitably impact our community.

Strive for Excellence

Our expectations are high. We do not settle for the easiest route, and we don’t shy away from a challenge. We push beyond and hold ourselves to the highest standard of comprehensive healthcare so our entire community can thrive.

Serve with Heart

No matter your circumstances or need, we will show up for you with compassion, courage, and diligence. We partner with and serve you to ensure that we all have the space and attention we need to show up for our own minds, bodies, and spirits — because we are all deserving of quality care.

Why Share Ourselves is Needed

Our physical health is just one of many things that contribute to our wellbeing. How we feel mentally, emotionally, and yes, physically, all contribute to us feeling healthy and strong. Healthcare that accounts for every part of your life can help make you healthier for a longer period of time. Because you deserve to feel your very best in every way.

As day-to-day expenses, from groceries to gas to housing, rise across the country, dedicating time to your own health can be challenging. An expanded approach to healthcare is one that addresses those rising costs, so that you have the financial ability and peace of mind to get the care you deserve.

Despite its reputation, nearly 12 percent of our neighbors live at or below the poverty line, and 1 in 5 don’t have access to primary medical care. But quality care should not be a privilege afforded only by the wealthy—health must be within reach for everyone in our community. Only when every individual is healthy and able to contribute to our shared success can we truly work towards reducing the wealth gap and the cultural divide that results from it.

Healthcare isn’t always the same for everyone. It can change depending on who you are, where you live, and what kind of resources you have access to. Everyone deserves access to high quality care without having to rely on a long commute or expensive services. An inclusive healthcare system can adapt to different needs so that everyone can be healthy.

Our current healthcare system works for some people, but not all. And a healthcare system that is not inclusive of the entire community is a broken one. When we fail to address every individual’s essential health needs—linguistically, physically, financially—we perpetuate existing inequities that result in underserved communities having more difficultly accessing quality care. As our society reckons with systematic inequities, we have an opportunity to rebuild our approach to care by being more holistic, equitable, and inclusive.
