Celebrating the Opening of Our New Clinic: Share Ourselves at BESST Center
On Saturday, August 10, 2024, Share Ourselves celebrated National Health Center Week’s Children’s Health Day by opening a newly renovated clinic at the BESST Center adjacent to Rea Elementary School. Located at 2045 Meyer Pl. Unit C, Costa Mesa, CA 92627, Share Ourselves at BESST Center will provide local families and individuals with comprehensive medical services.
“We are here to ensure everyone, regardless of insurance status, has access to quality healthcare,” said Share Ourselves CEO, Christy Ward. “With this expansion, we will be able to treat so many more people where they work, live and play, here in Costa Mesa.”
Share Ourselves’ mission is to provide care and assistance to those in need and act as advocates for systematic change. Regardless of insurance status, Share Ourselves warmly welcomes individuals and families, prioritizing their physical, mental and emotional well-being. With eight clinics spread across Orange County, including locations in Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo, Anaheim and Santa Ana, Share Ourselves consistently goes the extra mile to assist those in need across the County.
This expansion represents a significant step forward in the commitment to provide accessible healthcare and support to the Costa Mesa community. Share Ourselves greatly values the exceptional partnership with NMUSD and Hoag Hospital, which made renovations to the new facility possible.
“We couldn’t carry out our mission to provide care to those in need without the commitment and passion of our partners. We are so thankful to the school district for sharing in the vision to ensure healthcare is provided here and we are so fortunate to able to partner with organizations like Hoag.

In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony, Share Ourselves hosted its annual Back to School program, distributing backpacks to children from the surrounding neighborhoods as they ready themselves for the new school year. This year we distributed nearly 1,800 backpacks with the help of community partners, donors, and volunteers.
The new clinic has been operating at the NMUSD BESST Center via a mobile unit two days per week since July 2023. The expanded, permanent space is equipped to provide a host of services, including physical exams, well child visits, immunizations, sick visits, chronic disease management, behavioral health services and health screenings, among others. The facility will have two full time medical providers, seeing patients five days a week.
