Share Ourselves’ 2024 Highlights

2024 was a year of growth, service, and community impact for Share Ourselves. This year, we expanded our reach, celebrated milestones, and deepened our commitment to serving those in need. Here are our favorite 2024 highlights:

  • January: Share Our Selves (SOS) became Share Ourselves, as we launched a refreshed brand identity, representing a renewed dedication to our mission and vision for the future.
  • February: We welcomed Dr. Dana Ger as our new Chief Medical Officer, bringing innovative leadership to our medical programs.
  • May: Our annual Wild & Crazy Taco Night fundraiser broke records, raising over $170,000! We also celebrated 24 outstanding students from Newport Mesa Unified School District as recipients of the First in Family Scholarship Award.
  • June: The expansion of our Mission Viejo clinic doubled its capacity and introduced dental services, enabling us to provide comprehensive care to more individuals.
  • August: We opened a new clinic—Share Ourselves at BESST Center—near Rea Elementary School in Costa Mesa, a significant step in increasing access to healthcare for underserved families. In the same week, our Back to School Distribution provided 1,777 backpacks, ensuring local students started the school year prepared and confident.
  • November: Share Ourselves hosted Family Service Night and Thanksgiving Food Distribution, providing meals and support to families in preparation for the holiday season.
  • December: We celebrated 55 years of spreading holiday joy through our Adopt A Family program, which matched nearly 1,172 families with generous community sponsors.

From essential health services to critical social services, Share Ourselves has remained steadfast in serving Orange County. Thank you to our incredible supporters, volunteers, and team who made these accomplishments possible. Together, we are building a brighter future!
